The TeleBus Service:

The TeleBus service operates in the area described on the locality map.
Met Fares apply when customers are picked up or set down at any of the strategically located bus stops. Should you wish to be picked up or set down at home, or elsewhere within the TeleBus operational area, a surcharge will apply (see below).

The service has all the advantages of a true demand responsive bus service and offers an improved peak hour timetable designed to provide better co-ordination with trains at Ferntree Gully Railway Station.


How to Use the TeleBus:

  • Walk to the nearest TeleBus stop (as listed), or
  • Ring the TeleBus Despatcher on 9735 3133. Bookings not accepted after the TeleBus has departed the terminus.
  • Please give details of:
    • Where you wish to be picked up.
    • Your destination.
    • How many people will be travelling with you.
  • Your Despatcher will give you an estimated pick up time.
  • To prebook your journey in advance or make a permanent booking contact TeleBus on 9735 3133. The TeleBus Driver cannot accept any bookings.


TeleBus Surcharge:

A surcharge of 90 cents will be charged for pick-up or set-down at all locations other than TeleBus Bus Stops (as listed below).

60 Cents discount applies for Concession Card Holders on Off Peak trips.

Customers can save on the surcharge by taking advantage of the discount which applies for bulk purchase of the surcharge tickets, i.e:

  • 10 tickets cost $8.50 - save 50 cents

These tickets are available from the driver. Prepaid surcharge tickets maybe used at any time, over any period, a week, a month or even longer.
